How to create Fame and talkability for the brand?
The idea needed to talk to the fun, young and slightly whacky tone of the brand and be surprising and playful for a wider audience outside of Fanta’s predominantly teenage market.
Fashion and our target audience go hand in hand - as a passion point and tool for expression. With a brand purpose of: ‘Empower teens to unleash their creativity when having fun together’, Fanta has an inherent connection to pop culture, retro culture, the avant-garde and creativity.
We created a limited edition and trademarked range of Functional Fanta Fashion, FANTA PANTS™.
The streetwear range was inspired by the brand’s colour, zestiness, uniqueness and oddness, but at the heart of each design had awesome functional benefits for enhancing the great taste of Fanta, as well as the drinking experience. To give the line credibility, we worked with fashion school designers from The Fashion Institute, to create the limited-edition range. We developed a humourous video with popular teen influencer Alan Tsiubla at the launch of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and seeded our range to key media and influencers.
